This shot was taken in a camping area known as Quaker Hill, deep in the heart of the Nevada County Campground, which is adjacent to the NC Fairgrounds where the festival proper is held. Quaker Hill is a favorite of FDF old-timers; it’s got good shade, is level for the most part, has some built in amenities, as well as the all-important ELECTRICHOOK-UP, this last being on a first-come-first-plugged basis. Like nearly all camping sites at our festival, Quaker Hill is designated a 24-7 jamming area, though it tends to be a little quieter after midnight.
